ITALY's Olympic Committee (Coni) and the International Cycling Federation (UCI), at loggerheads over how to punish Gianni Bugno, for his doping misadventures, have agreed to take the problem to the International Olympic Committee. Officials met yesterday to discuss discrepancies between the doping sanctions of national federations and those of the sport's governing body, after the former world champion, Bugno, was banned for two years.
