THE Badminton Three-Day Event has been given extended sponsorship from Mitsubishi Motors. The original two-year contract ends after this year's event from 5 to 8 May but a new deal, worth pounds 1m over three years, will now provide backing until 1997. The top prize remains at pounds 20,000, which is still the richest award in three-day eventing.
