Fifa, the game's world governing body, is to give Somalia a pounds 600,000 grant which will allow the African nation to return to international football after almost a decade of civil unrest. Somalia are aiming to enter the qualifying rounds for the 2002 African Nation's Cup and the 2006 World Cup.
Paul Hegarty, Aberdeen's caretaker manager, will remain in charge at Pittodrie for the rest of the season.
