Sir David White, the chairman of Mansfield Brewery, has been appointed to the board of Nottingham Forest as a non-executive director.

Eddie Jordan, the motor racing grand prix owner, has been inducted into the FA Premier League Hall of Fame as a famous fan. Jordan, a Coventry supporter, is joined in the Hall of Fans, part of the Hall of Fame which opens in London in June, by snooker player John Parrott (Everton), singer Mick Hucknall (Manchester United) and actor Robson Greene (Newcastle).

Brighton, who have been playing at Gillingham since the sale of their Goldstone ground, are to receive a pounds 500,000 loan from the Football Trust to help fund a temporary move to Withdean Stadium. The Brighton venue needs improvements of pounds 1.4m, including seating for 6,000.
