Following Kevin Ratcliffe's resignation as manager at Chester City last week the chairman Terry Smith has announced a five-man coaching unit at the club. The new set-up consists of David Fogg, Gary Shelton, Shaun Reid, Scott Cooper and Smith. The team will also have three captains: Ross Davidson is the defence captain, Nick Richardson the midfield captain and Luke Beckett the forward captain.

The Nationwide Conference club Doncaster Rovers have signed the Croatian midfielder Mirsad Bubalovic, a 27-year-old who has played for Hajduk Split and Croatia Zagreb. He joins Rovers from the French club Sochaux on a free transfer.
