The rock band Super Furry Animals are to sponsor Cardiff. The club will wear the group's name across the front of their shirts for all FAW Premier Cup matches this season.
The International Olympic Committee have called a special meeting to decide if Edgar Davids can use an eyewash which contains a banned substance. The Juventus midfielder, who has glaucoma, used Diamox to treat his eye condition while he played for the Netherlands in a friendly against Belgium on Saturday. Davids used protective goggles along with the eyewash, which contains the IOC-blacklisted diuretic acetazolamide A, after receiving permission from Fifa.
