The Scottish Football Association yesterday confirmed that they have reached a financial settlement with Jim Farry, their former chief executive. It is believed Farry could receive as much as pounds 250,000 in the settlement.

Southampton have taken over the Perth academy in Western Australia which was formerly run by West Ham. The academy will aim to enrol young Australian players with a view to producing Premiership players of the future.

Dunfermline of the Scottish First Division have signed the Falkirk captain David Moss on a three-year deal for around pounds 120,000.
