The substitute Siyabonga Nomvete scored a late goal to give South Africa a 1-0 win over Sweden in an international friendly on Saturday. It was their first-ever victory over European opposition. Sweden were reduced to 10 men after the dismissal of Andreas Andersson in the 55th minute. The AIK Stockholm striker was sent off for swearing at the referee after an innocuous challenge.
