Robert Molenaar will miss Leeds' last two matches of the season against Manchester United and Wimbledon after injuring a medial knee ligament in a reserve game on Wednesday. The Dutch defender was carried off after a first-half collision with Liverpool's Steve Warnock.
The Football Association chairman Keith Wiseman yesterdy failed to be elected to Uefa's six-man executive committee at its 24th Ordinary Congress in Dublin. Wiseman - one of eight new candidates standing against the six executive committee members seeking re-election for another four-year term - polled just 16 votes from the 51-members' associations. The Uefa president Lennart Johansson was re-elected unopposed to another four-year term. Johansson, however, may only serve until 8 June, when he stands as a candidate to succeed Joao Havelange as president of Fifa.
Middlesbrough's First Division decider against Oxford United at the Riverside Stadium on Sunday will be screened live on Sky Sports. The game, which starts at 1:30pm, is a sell-out.
