Manchester United look likely to have to go to a tribunal to settle the fee for Ben Thornley, who joined Huddersfield last month. United want pounds 500,000 for the 23-year-old winger but the First Division club are offering less.

Reading have signed the central midfielder Grant Brebner from Manchester United for pounds 100,000. The 20-year-old Scottish Under-21 international has signed a three-year deal.
