Crewe Alexandra have signed Danny Hay, the Australian defender, and given Andy Lovelock, the former Coventry winger a one-year contract.

Gabriel Batistuta, the Argentinian striker, has extended his contract with Fiorentina, the Italian Serie A side, until 2003.
