Stockport have signed the 28-year-old midfielder Rob Matthews from Bury for pounds 120,000. Matthews, who scored Bury's equaliser against County last month, has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

The England Under-21 manager Peter Taylor has agreed to take charge of the Nationwide League representative squad for A match against an Italian Serie B side on 25 November in Terni.
