Sunderland have agreed a pounds 200,000 fee with Wrexham for Welsh international goalkeeper Andy Marriott. The 27-year-old has impressed manager Peter Reid during a month's loan spell at the Stadium of Light.

Nigerian World Cup striker Victor Ikpeba has claimed he turned down a lucrative offer from Glasgow Rangers in August. But Ikpeba, who plays for Monaco in the French First Division, has hinted he would like the deal to be resurrected after failing to agree a new deal with the French club.
