Four England-based players are in the South Africa squad to play a friendly against France in Lens on 11 October: goalkeeper Andre Arendse (Fulham), Mark Fish (Bolton), Lucas Radebe (Leeds), and Eric Tinkler (Barnsley). The former Leeds striker Phil Masinga, now with the Italian club Bari, is also in the squad.

The England women's team were beaten 3-0 by Germany in Dessau in yesterday's Women's World Cup Group Three qualifier.
