DONCASTER ROVERS yesterday dismissed their manager, Ian Atkins, who was previously in charge at Colchester United and Cambridge United. The Rovers' directors were unhappy with his reluctance to move closer to the South Yorkshire town. The Midlands-based Atkins had worked without a contract for five months. The club have signed the Watford goalkeeper Perry Suckling on a free transfer.
