DAVE MOORE is today expected to become the youngest manager in the Endsleigh League when he takes over at Third Division Scunthorpe. Moore, 34 has been caretaker manager since Richard Money's departure in March.

JURGEN SOMMER, Luton Town's goalkeeper, has been called up for United States World Cup squad. US officials said the 25-year-old, uncapped at international level, would join the other players at the team's training camp between 15 May and 22 May. Their general manager, Bill Nuttall, said other foreign- based players would join the squad on 18 May. Derby County's John Harkes might arrive even later.

AFTER a meeting with the German manager, Berti Vogts, Rudi Voller said yesterday he would probably join his country's World Cup squad.

ALAN SMITH, manager of the First Division champions Crystal Palace, has been named Endsleigh Insurance League manager of the month. The Eagles won all five of their League games in April. John Rudge, of Port Vale, won the Second Division award and Fred Davies of Shrewsbury takes the Third Division prize.
