Gillingham have objected, apparently on religious grounds, to playing their FA Cup first-round tie against Heybridge Swifts at Layer Road, Colchester, on Sunday 13 November. The tie against the Diadora League club will now be played on Friday 11 November.

Notts County have signed the Portsmouth defender, Ray Daniel, on a month's loan with a view to a permanent move. The 30-year-old goes straight into the squad for today's match with Burnley at Turf Moor.
