LAZIO, the Italian Serie A side, have signed the international midfielder, Fabrizio Di Mauro, on loan from relegated Fiorentina. Di Mauro played for Lazio's rivals, Roma, before joining Fiorentina a year ago.

JOHN HUMPHREY, the Crystal Palace defender, yesterday signed a new one-year contract with the First Division club. Humphrey, 32, joined Palace from Charlton in 1990.

TRANSFER: John Filian, goalkeeper, Sydney Budapest to Cambridge United, pounds 40,000.
