BARRY TOWN'S European Cup-Winners' Cup preliminary round tie against Zhalgiris Vilnius will go ahead at Cardiff City's Ninian Park after the council gave the ground the all-clear with the proviso that the club appoints a new safety officer and completes work already in hand.

LIECHTENSTEIN, who play in the same European Championship qualifying group as Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, have been told by Uefa that they can stage home games. 'Exceptional permission was granted after the government in Liechtenstein had given assurances that a new sports stadium would be built in the near future,' a Uefa spokesman said.
