THE US Open champion, Ernie Els, will play in the Bell's Scottish Open at Gleneagles from 6 to 9 July. The 24-year-old won his first major last week when he triumphed in the Oakmont play-off against America's Loren Roberts and Scotland's Colin Montgomerie. Ian Woosnam will also play at Gleneagles, where he won the title in 1987 and 1990.
