TWENTY-SIX years after his father-in-law, Max Faulkner, won the Portuguese Open at 52, Brian Barnes, 48, is after the same title. Barnes's second-round 67 and six-under-par total of 136 at Penha Longa yesterday left him only one stroke behind Phillip Price, of Wales, and the South African Retief Goosen.
