GREG NORMAN has been forced to withdraw from the President's Cup matchplay tournament, which starts in Gainsville, Virginia, on Friday, after complications set in following surgery for haemorrhoids.

NICK PRICE of Zimbabwe, winner of two of golf's four major titles in 1994, clinched his second consecutive PGA Player of the Year award, US Tour officials announced on Monday.
