THE first Southern Hemisphere Challenge, a Ryder Cup-style event

between South Africa and Australasia, will take place on 24-26 February in South Africa. Contested by two eight-man teams from the Australasia PGA Tour and the South African and Zimbabwean PGAs, the venue has not yet been announced. Unlike its biennial counterpart in the north, the Southern Hemisphere Challenge is set to become an

annual event.
