Teeder Wynne, the Sheffield Steelers forward, was yesterday discharged from hospital after being cleared of diphtheria. Wynne returned from Steelers' Continental Cup trip to Russia last month complaining of sore throat, swollen glands and lethargy. After rigorous tests, doctors at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital diagnosed severe tonsilitis and pharangitis.
THURSDAY'S LATE RESULT: Sekonda Superleague: London Knights 3 Nottingham Panthers 4.
