NANCY KERRIGAN, the United States figure skating champion, will not compete in the national championships in Detroit, due to injuries she received on Thursday when a man attacked her with a metal bar after a practice session. She is to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging scan to determine the extent of injuries to her knee.
