Sporting Digest: Modern Pentathlon
RICHARD PHELPS, who won a team bronze medal for Great Britain and finished sixth in the individual competition at the Seoul Olympics in 1988, yesterday won the World championship in Darmstadt, Germany, beating the Seoul team gold medallist, Laszlo Fabian, of Hungary, and Sebastian Deleigne, of France.
