SPORTING DIGEST: MOTOR RACING

The World Motor Sport Council have demanded a full report into the horrifying crash suffered by Britain's Peter Dumbreck's during the Le Mans 24-hour race earlier this month. Dumbreck escaped injury when his car flipped and somersaulted five times before crashing into the trees surrounding the circuit. The council wants to know why the car was allowed to race after two similar incidents in qualifying.
