JOHN REYNOLDS, the Nottingham rider making his only appearance of the year in British national racing, was yesterday disqualified after winning both legs of the 20-lap Superbike race in the final round of the ACU British Championship at Brands Hatch. It was a stunning performance, but the Silkolene Kawasaki team refused to allow Reynold's machine to be checked by scrutineers for compliance with the rules and officials disqualified him.
