Dick Telford, a leading Australian athletics coach, has urged organisers to reschedule the marathon at next year's Atlanta Olympic Games saying there was a real threat of athletes suffering heat stress. He said the race should be run in the early morning instead of 6.30pm, when temperatures will be in the mid-to-high 30s Centigrade with sapping humidity.
