DIDIER AURIOL, of France, overcame a brave challenge from the Spaniard Carlos Sainz to move within reach of a fifth Tour of Corsica title yesterday. Sainz, who was 35sec behind Auriol's Toyota after losing all of Thursday's eight stages to the Frenchman, fought back in his Subaru on the second day of the rally to take four of the day's seven timed stages.
