COLIN McRAE extended his narrow lead over the world champion, Juha Kankkunen, on the third day of the Australian Rally in Perth yesterday. Starting 16 seconds ahead, the Scotsman drove superbly over 12 stages to gain another seven seconds on the defending champion and four-times winner of the event.
