Rugby League

Robbie Paul has been relieved of the team captaincy of the Bradford Bulls, in order to allow him to concentrate on his own game. Graeme Bradley, already the club captain, will take over the leadership responsibilities on the field as well.

St Helens' Samoan centre or second-row, Vila Matautia, misses the start of the Super League season after breaking his arm in a friendly at Lancashire Lynx.
