KELVIN SKERRETT, the Wigan and Great Britain prop, is confident he will be back in action for the start of the new season. Skerrett has had the wire removed from his jaw, which was broken in two places in the Premiership final against Castleford a month ago.

WIGAN have agreed a three-year contract with Salford's 22-year-old forward, Terry O'Connor, but the price may have to be fixed by a tribunal if the two clubs fail to agree a valuation.
