NEXT season's First Division champions will play the Winfield Cup winners in Australia in June. It will be the first time that the World Club Challenge, inaugurated in 1987 as a contest between the leading clubs in the two countries, has been staged in Australia.

GREAT BRITAIN has committed itself to sending a side to the World Sevens in Sydney in February, but no club will be asked to release more than two players for the squad.
