Chris Gibbs, believed to be the oldest surviving England rugby international, has died at the age of 95. He won seven caps on the wing between 1925 and 1927, including an appearance against the All Blacks in 1925 when New Zealand's Cyril Brownlie became the first player to be sent off in a Test. He also played amateur soccer for Bromley.

The France prop Franck Tournaire will be available for the opening Five Nations match against England after escaping with a three-match ban following his sending-off while playing for Toulouse against Montferrand nine days ago.
