Sporting digest: Rugby Union

The Bath hooker Andy Long, who made his senior international debut against Australia in November, leads the England Under-21 side against France Youth on February 6. The game is part of a triple-header involving the two countries that also includes the Five Nations fixture and an A international.

The former Ireland full-back Simon Mason, 24, has been placed on the transfer list by Richmond.
