Tim Stimpson, Newcastle's disaffected Lions full-back, is expected to announce a move to Leicester later this week.

David Sims, the 28-year-old England A lock, will captain Gloucester next season. A veteran of 226 senior appearances, he led his club between September 1995 and May 1997 before handing the reins to Pete Glanville last season.
