GARY HALPIN, Ireland's replacement prop for the Five Nations match against Wales on Saturday, yesterday failed a fitness test and dropped out of the squad with an Achilles tendon strain. The London Irish player's place on the bench will be taken by Paul McCarthy, of Cork Constitution.
