CRAIG CHALMERS, the former British Lion replaced by Gregor Townsend in the Scotland team beaten by England on Saturday, has been selected to play fly-half for Scotland A against France A in Rennes on 20 February.
DEREK EVES, the Bristol flanker and captain who led England's Emerging Players in their 86-17 win over Spain on Sunday, has been promoted to England's A squad for the game against Ireland A at Richmond on 18 March.
A TOUR of England by a South Africa A team in March has been cancelled, according to the South African Rugby Football Union, 'due to the congested programme for the 1994 season'.
