FILO TIATIA is to appear before the New Zealand RFU's disciplinary commission over an allegedly dangerous tackle on his fellow Western Samoan, Junior Tonu'u, during an All Black trial on Sunday. Tonu'u, a former Western Samoan international scrum-half, suffered concussion and had to leave the field.

SEBASTIEN VIARS has been called up by France for next month's tour of Canada and New Zealand after the withdrawal of Toulouse's Stephen Ougier because of an injured ankle. The Brive full-back won nine caps before being dropped after France were beaten by Argentina in 1992.
