SHAMATEURISM will come under the microscope at a meeting of the Welsh Rugby Union general committee at Bridgend from 23 to 25 September. The committee will draw up a list of what is permissable under current International Board regulations. 'As a Union, we want to ensure that our clubs do not adopt a lemming-like approach,' Vernon Pugh, the WRU chairman, said. 'It is clear that some club secretaries are confused.' Edward Jones, the WRU secretary, added: 'We want to identify a clear and unambiguous list of conditions for our clubs to work to.'
