The leaders in the Whitbread Round the World Race, Grant Dalton in Merit Cup and Paul Standbridge in Toshiba, could not be separated on the computer yesterday in terms of distance to the finish.

Britain's Damian Foxall with Frenchman Sidney Gavignet moved to third place in the Figaro Transatlantic Race with 500 miles to the finish in St Bart's. Leading the 23-boat fleet are Whitbread veterans and partners Dominic Wavre and Michelle Paret.
