ORGANISERS of next month's world championships in Gothenburg said yesterday they had found a solution to the glue controversy. Faced with the impossible task of checking hundreds of bats every day for illegal use of aromatic or chlorinated solvents, officials have decided to rely on random testing in the early rounds. The organisers said they will random test about 50 bats every day. From the quarter-finals onwards, every bat will be tested.
