HANS WILHELM GAEB, the European Table Tennis Federation president, said yesterday that the International Federation's move last week to ban bat- glues for health reasons had been made without sufficient research and should be postponed for a year. Sweden's world champion, Jorgen Persson, who is involved in the players' union, also criticised the decision after his team had won the men's team title.
