Nathalie Tauziat, the Wimbledon finalist, will head a strong French challenge at this year's DFS Classic at the Edgbaston Priory Club. The 31-year-old No 1 seed, who lost to Jana Novotna at the All England Club in 1998, is one of four French women among the top seven seeds for the pounds 100,000) event from 8 to 14 June. Her compatriot Sandrine Testud is seeded second with Julie-Halard Decugis fourth seed and Nathalie Dechy No 7 for the tournament which forms part of many players' Wimbledon preparation.
