Steffi Graf, who has played only two tournaments in the past year because of injuries, will drop out of the WTA rankings on Monday for the first time since January 1983. Players have to play three tournaments to hold a ranking.

Boris Becker has had to pull out of a series of exhibition matches after falling ill with a stomach bug. He will not now play Greg Rusedski at Surbiton on Friday.
