RUSSIA will compete at the world championships in Melbourne from 11 to 21 November after paying a dollars 30,000 ( pounds 20,000) fine imposed by the international federation after three of its competitors who failed drug tests were banned for life. Poland, which has also had three lifters banned, has not paid its fine and will not compete.
