Sheffield Wednesday should slaughter Barnsley at Hillsborough tonight. The Owls have won their last three matches while Barnsley, after beating Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield, were back to their dismal, Nationwide League-bound, selves when going down 3-2 to Leeds at the Oakwell Ground.

Aston Villa, who hammered Coventry 3-0 on Saturday, can beat Steau Bucharest in the second leg of their Uefa Cup third round tie tomorrow night. The Romanians won the home leg 2-1, but will find life harder at Villa Park.

Atletico Madrid, who beat Sporting Gijon 2-1 at home on Saturday, should crucify Croatia Zagreb in the home leg of their tie, while Internazionale - who creditably drew 1-1 at Sampdoria on Saturday - can avenge their 2-0 defeat away by Strasbourg, who lost 1-0 at home to Guingamp on Saturday, in Milan.

Manchester United, who murdered Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield on Saturday, can kick Juventus - who only beat a 10-man Lazio side 2-1 on Saturday - out of the European Cup in Turin on Wednesday. The Italian giants seem in decline, while rampant United are now European Cup favourites.

Dynamo Kiev, also genuine European Cup contenders, can humiliate Newcastle, who lost 1-0 to Arsenal at home on Saturday, at St James's Park.
