Sir: What complete and utter tosh in your Sports Letters (25 November) about rugby!
The answer to rugby union's ills is not to make it more like rugby league, but less so!
The Aussies, bless 'em, have taken too much from the league game, including gamesmanship, and as a result the union code has suffered.
Long live the front row battles, the "endless stoppages" and the science of rucks, mauls and scrums where might is right and clever boys compensate.
