Sir: In his letter (4 May), Adrian Brodkin stated that 96 per cent of Blackburn Rovers season ticket holders live within five miles of their ground and he wondered what the percentage would be at Manchester United.

Mr Brodkin may have watched a programme on BBC 2 called Standing Room Only. Here they produced, from a similar survey of Premiership clubs, a league table and Blackburn Rovers were top by some way. Mr Brodkin will no doubt be glad to find out that Manchester United were not bottom, but mid-table. Leeds United came bottom of this league table.
